About the PLOT-ICH Study
A prospective, international observational study assessing the global variation in patient characteristics, management
and short-term outcomes of spontaneous intracranial haemorrhage.

Our goals
- To provide an international overview of how patients suffering from intracranial haemorrhage present to hospital, how they are managed, and what their outcomes are.
- To compare the above between high-, middle-, and low-income countries.
- To understand how variations in patient presentation and care relate to health systems and resources available locally.
- To create a network of healthcare professionals and researchers interested in improving the care of patients suffering from intracranial haemorrhage globally.
Who can join?
Any hospital worldwide treating patients with spontaneous intracranial haemorrhage can sign up.
In each hospital, we are looking for a team of collaborators to help achieve our goal.
Why join?
We hope this global study will generate new information about how patients with intracranial haemorrhage are managed across the world. You can be a part of this effort. By joining, you will become part of an international team of healthcare professionals and researchers and contribute to the generation of new knowledge.
Who supports us?
This study is a collaborative efforts and we are lucky to receive support from the NIHR through funding of the Global Health Research Group on Acquired Brain and Spine Injuries (ABSI), based at the University of Cambridge. We are also supported by a range of international partners.
